When it comes to prewar motors the poor quality of the pot metal castings makes them a challenge to rebuild. Also some of the early repair parts are no longer available. I suggest you call or email me about your prewar Car/Truck for details on your particular application. Better yet is to call me with the motor/motors in hand. Often the motors have been replaced and may in fact be postwar made. A few questions and I will know what you have, and if I can help.
